Senior Scientist, Flow Cytometry (CPSS Cell Therapy)
You Will:
Implement complex bioanalytical methods and manage tech-transfers to established CRO partners. Ensure assays are fit for purpose by reviewing data, troubleshooting issues, and conducting data analysis.
Develop advanced bioanalytical techniques through intra- and inter-department collaborations. Your contributions will span throughout the AZ portfolio within Cell and Gene Therapy.
In a dynamic, matrixed environment, manage team member expectations and contribute to project strategy and delivery. Work with experienced bioanalytical scientists and partnered labs.
Support flow cytometry assay development alongside bioanalytical strategy leads.
Build scientific reputation within CPSS Cell Therapy by interpreting important data, presenting at meetings, and publishing research.
You Have:
PhD in immunology, molecular biology, or related fields preferred; 0+ years of relevant experience. Alternatively, an M.Sc. with 3-5+ years, or a B.Sc. with 6-7+ years in relevant domains.
Expertise in Flow Cytometry (conventional and spectral), including assay development, qualification/validation, and execution for bioanalytical characterization in both pre-clinical and clinical studies. Experience working in a GCLP environment is a plus.
Experience interpreting complex datasets using analysis and visualization software (e.g., Cytobank, OMIQ, FCS Express, Tableau, Spotfire, JMP).
Experience working with other teams and external CRO partners to facilitate tech transfers, monitor assay validations, and data transfers.
Handle multiple concurrent projects; demonstrate accountability, organizational skills, and effective leadership.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to present complex data and strategies to diverse audiences.
The annual base salary for this position ranges from $112,000 to $168,000. However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles), to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment eligibility (sales roles).
